Travel & Stay

Getting There

Barker House is located at 21 Barker Rd, Scituate, MA 02066. Scituate, MA is a seacoast town midway between Plymouth and Boston.  For out-of-state travelers, we recommend flying into Boston Logan International, and then it is about an hour drive South.

Where To Stay

We will be staying in Scituate from Tuesday, May 20th to Friday, May 23rd,

and then heading North to Boston to spend the weekend.

The Inn at Scituate Harbor

The Inn at Scituate Harbor is one of our favorite picks for hotels near our wedding venue. If you are having trouble finding rooms available, make sure that you have not selected to check-out on Saturday, as they do not allow Saturday check-outs on Memorial Day weekend.

DoubleTree in Rockland

The next closest city to Scituate with a few hotel options is Rockland, MA. The DoubleTree is about a 40-minute drive from Boston, and a 20-minute drive from our wedding venue in Scituate.

Airbnb or Vrbo

There are several beautiful homes and rooms available for rent in and around Scituate on Airbnb and Vrbo. If you are booking this far in advance, be sure to send a message to the host first to verify the dates you want are still available.

Things To Do

There are so many things to do in New England.

Here are a few suggestions that we hope to join you in.

Have a great idea to contribute? We'd love for you to share it with us!

Visit Plymouth, MA

Plymouth is the place where the Pilgrims disembarked the Mayflower in 1620, and it's just a 30-minute drive South of Scituate.  There are a number of historical sites to see in Plymouth, including monuments, museums and of course, Plymouth Rock.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Historic Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston has served as a marketplace and meeting hall since 1742. It is a great place to spend an afternoon as it is home to the largest and oldest food hall in the country, as well as dozens of stores to shop (it has become a bit of a tradition of ours to stop by 'Christmas in Boston' to pick up an ornament for our tree!)

The North End
(Boston's Little Italy)

The North End, Boston’s Little Italy, is a maze of narrow streets with some of the city’s oldest buildings. Aside from some of the best Italian food in the city, it is also home to several historic sites like the 1680 Paul Revere House and the Old North Church, which played a key role at the beginning of the Revolutionary War.

Red Sox at Fenway Park

If you're a baseball fan, the Red Sox play the Orioles at Fenway Park the weekend following our wedding!
